One of the most beloved places on earth was lost on August 7, 2026, when the Bald Range Fire destroyed An Evening In The Valley—a magical house-concert venue on the Summerland property of our dear friends, Craig & Deb Milton.
For more than a decade, this was so much more than a place to play music. It was a haven for artists, music lovers, friends and strangers to gather, listen, connect, laugh, cry and feel a little more alive.
It holds countless memories for me personally. I’ve had the privilege of playing deeply meaningful concerts on their Barn stage, their Office stage, and even in their Driveway during Covid. And, perhaps most beautifully of all, this is the very place where I met my love and musical accomplice, Dan Tait.
The music community is grieving the loss of this extraordinary little sanctuary—and yet, I believe the spirit of An Evening In The Valley is still very much alive in the people who experienced it.
Craig & Deb are now facing the enormous task of rebuilding, and if this place has ever touched your heart, please consider helping them bring it back to life. Every donation is a little vote for music, community, connection and the magic that happens when people create a space for one another.

A little about me and my music journey... My roots are deeply planted in the Okanagan Valley and Lilith's inspirational movement. I sing and strum and weave stories, to connect and heal through music. I've been performing for 25+ years and I have the experience and the passion to curate what's needed for many different types of events. Whether it be coffeehouse style dinner music or foot stomping energy at a gala, love songs that pull at the heart for a wedding or anniversary, festival feel-good vibes or the tender honouring required for a celebration of life. My favourite events are house concerts or listening rooms, where the magic of collective effervescence can be felt in every cell. It's pure magic!!! Basically I am madly in love with music and it brings so much joy to share this calling with others. When I'm not songwriting or performing - I also teach music to those precious souls, young and old, wanting to open up their creative pathways and unlock their true voice.
